Job Title: Engineering Technician (4x Shift Cycle)
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to join our team in South Dublin on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and modifying all plant and production equipment, as well as fabricating new and replacement equipment.
Main Responsibilities:
* Install, modify, and maintain the full range of production equipment;
* Continuously improve plant operations, including reducing downtime and waste, dealing with breakdowns, and working to the highest engineering standards;
* Assist in the complete validation of new and existing equipment, including acceptance trials and debugging;
* Deal/liaise with vendors, suppliers, and local engineering shops;
* Analyze customer complaints and internal quality issues, assisting in drawing up improvement programmes for equipment to eliminate defects;
* Assist with training other Engineering Technicians, new recruits, and apprentices as required;
* Participate in companywide continuous improvement initiatives, working in teams as required and utilizing appropriate quality tools;
* Maintain appropriate recording and reporting systems on all engineering related matters;
* Utilize current and new IT/processing systems;
* Maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping to ensure the area, machines, and equipment are maintained in a safe and clean condition.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of mechanical and electronic systems associated with high volume manufacturing equipment and hold a Third Level Qualification or National Craft Certificate together with additional specialized training and experience.
Relevant industrial experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment is crucial for this role. The ability to apply a scientific approach to problem-solving, blending analytical and experimental skills to maximize productivity and yields is essential.
A valid work permit, stamp 4 or EU passport is required for this position.
Working Hours: The company operates 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. This is a 4-Cycle Shift Pattern role (Days and Nights) with 2 x 12-hour days followed by 2 x 12-hour nights, followed by 4 days off.
