Design Interpretation: Draft design details for construction on-site with assistance from the design office.
Contract Analysis: Provide ongoing financial contract analysismeasure and document variations and extras, collate information for contract analysis, match POs with delivery dockets and invoices, and report on resources for completed work elements.
Customer Care: Maintain strong relationships with existing customers, handle issues professionally and promptly, and uphold company standards.
Site Supervision: Represent the company on-site, attend site meetings, take notes, prepare meeting actions, and maintain records.
Financial: Ensure the minimum gross margin on contracts, and oversee accurate and timely payments in accordance with financial control procedures.
Other Duties: Assist other team members as needed to ensure the smooth running of the company.
Maintain Company Standards: Ensure employees and subcontractors uphold high standards in workmanship, behavior, and presentation.
Key Accountabilities & Indicators of Effectiveness:
* Customer Relationship Management: Maintain and develop relationships with senior-level customers to ensure satisfaction. (Measured by customer retention and increased business per KPIs.)
* Project Scheduling & BOQ: Manage project schedules, Bills of Quantities, on-site work records, variations, and monthly contract valuations.
* Reporting: Maintain and update work schedules, document site work, and track variations and extras.
* Financial Management: Maintain gross margins and adhere to invoice margin analysis, monitored weekly as per the credit control procedure.
* Site Management: Assist site managers/foremen in site procedures, subcontractor management, HR, material requisitions, purchase orders, and plant/machinery resource management.
Necessary Skills and Attributes:
Qualifications:
* Preferably a third-level qualification in Landscape or Construction Management.
Knowledge & Experience:
* Knowledge of plants and landscape materials is a plus.
* Experience in contract cost control.
Computer Skills:
* Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
* Experience with Liberate estimating software and Microsoft Project (training available if necessary).
Industry Experience:
* Minimum of 5 years in landscape construction or related construction sector.
Leadership & Management:
* Ability to work independently without supervision.
* Strong teamwork skills and ability to set/meet targets.
