Support Pharmacist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Support Pharmacist to join our team in North County Galway.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the managing pharmacist in the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, including dispensing medications, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
">
Duties and Responsibilities:
">
* Strictly observe statutory regulations relating to the supply of medicinal products as per the Pharmacy Act 2007.
">
* Adhere to dispensing standard operating procedures and maintain appropriate records and hygiene within the pharmacy as per the Pharmacy Act 2008.
">
* Ensure that any issues of a Health and Safety nature are brought to the attention of the managing pharmacist.
">
* Fulfill the required advisory role concerning over-the-counter medicines and ensure that staff on the medicine counter are aware of the procedure for counter prescribing and their limitations.
">
* Maintain appropriate stock levels in the Pharmacy ensuring the correct storage and monitoring of dated products.
">
* Assume full responsibility during the absence of the Pharmacist for supervising the pharmacy in the provision of medicinal products.
">
* Ensure that the Pharmacy is kept clean and tidy and any Health and Safety issues are brought promptly to the attention of the Pharmacy Manager.
">
* Deliver the highest standards of care and service while on duty.
">
* Understand, support and participate in the retail operation of the Pharmacy.
">
* Participate in training and development programmes provided by the pharmacy.
">
* Keep abreast of all changes to registration and PSI practice guidance.
">
* Perform other duties as required.

* Support other stakeholders within the pharmacy to ensure the delivery of company goals.

* Participate in staff training programmes and implementation.

* Develop and deliver education and training programmes within the Pharmacy.

* Assist the managing pharmacist in programmes of health promotion and pharmaceutical care.

Requirements:

* Registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI).
">
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
">
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

* Knowledge of pharmacy practices and procedures.
">
* Reliable and punctual.
">
* Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.

Estimated Salary: €50,000 - €60,000 per annum
">
This is a permanent, full-time position. The estimated salary range is based on industry standards and may vary depending on experience.
