Senior Project Sustainability Engineer (Building Physics)

About the Job
You will manage the delivery of projects to demonstrate regulatory compliance (Building Regulations Part L). To this end you will utilise IES VE and Revit Insight 360 to produce thermal / daylight models and simulations related to a range of building projects. You will produce energy calculations, heating analysis and generate building thermal loads as well as supporting the production of Energy Strategies and statements for planning authorities. You will assist in design studies promoting sustainable solutions, low energy services and low carbon technologies. You will also be expected to produce Daylight and Sunlight Studies as part of Planning applications.
About You
1. 5+ years of experience as a sustainability engineer/consultant or related position.
2. Suitable backgrounds: Mechanical, Building Services, or Sustainability.
3. Must have significant experience in Thermal Modelling using IES VE.
4. Requires a solid understanding of MEP services.
5. Experience with delivery of Building Regulations compliance, including Part L and Part F.
6. Should be dynamic, outgoing, and passionate about sustainability.
7. Must be hard-working and eager to develop modelling and building compliance skills.
8. Capable of modelling buildings in Revit.
9. Ability to run daylight analysis using Insight 360.
10. Manage the delivery of projects to demonstrate regulatory compliance (Building Regulations Part L).
11. IES Thermal Modeller / Heat Loads Energy Calculations / Natural Ventilation / Overheating TM59 & TM52 Studies.
12. Delivery of Building regulations compliance – utilising NEAP / DEAP methodologies.
13. Understanding and interpretation of AutoCad & Revit and reading building layouts, elevations and sections.
14. Interest and awareness of Life cycle assessment / embodied carbon analysis would also be advantageous.
15. Oversee the quality assurance system within projects, conducting regular reviews to ensure compliance with sustainability standards and regulations.
16. Represent the company at industry events, including speaking engagements and training sessions, while also producing expert content to enhance the firm's profile.
17. Process and send invoices to Project Managers, including BERs invoices and client billings.
18. Expand energy statements and CRDs to meet client and regulatory authority requirements.
19. Contribute to proposal writing with guidance from senior staff.
20. Stay current with evolving sustainability regulations, standards, and best practices.
