My client, a leading multinational company based in Kilkenny, is seeking a Temporary Financial Accountant to join their Accounting & Reporting (A&R) team. This role will support A&R Managers and Senior Managers in delivering accurate and timely financial accounting and management reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and submit monthly and year-end financial and management accounts.
* Compile reporting packs for Group and Senior Management in an accurate and timely manner.
* Provide detailed analysis and supporting information to help management understand business performance and enable value-added decision-making.
* Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and maintain financial controls.
* Identify opportunities to enhance systems, processes, and controls to align with evolving business needs.
* Assist the A&R Manager with operational and commercial reporting requirements.
* Liaise with internal and external auditors, contributing to statutory reporting and tax compliance schedules.
* Manage SAP data uploads related to Budget/Forecast and support planning processes.
* Advocate adherence to Group Policy and ensure compliance with all relevant updates.
Key Requirements:
* A professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA).
* Experience in a multinational organization or medium-to-large practice preferred.
* Strong financial reporting knowledge (IAS/IFRS).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
* Experience with ERP systems, e.g., SAP, data warehousing platforms, or report design is advantageous.
* The ability to interpret complex financial and commercial issues and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
* Analytical rigor with a strong focus on detail, combined with a commercial and strategic mindset.
