Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Safety Consultant with broad process design experience to join our Ireland team, which serves both domestic and global Business Units across PM Group. The successful candidate will enjoy working on projects with diverse hazard types and provide support on various projects as part of multi-discipline engineering teams or standalone Process Safety consulting services.
Responsibilities
1. Independently lead and plan process safety activities during various design stages of projects, managing other process safety colleagues and coordinating with client representatives, equipment vendors, and multidiscipline engineering colleagues.
2. Prepare, chair, and report Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) reviews, including HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, etc., and complete process safety deliverables such as Hazardous Area Classification (HAC), Explosion Protection Documents (EPDs), Seveso Documentation, and Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) Consequence Modelling.
3. Work on various industry sectors, including pharma, food & beverage, specialty chemicals, advanced manufacturing, energy, and waste recycling, and develop comprehensive knowledge of process safety subject matter areas.
4. Maintain thorough knowledge of Irish and EU health & safety legislation, codes of practice, and standards, and design experience with specific client standards and legislation from Europe and the USA.
Requirements
* Bachelor degree qualification in Process/Chemical engineering (or equivalent).
* Chartered Engineer with relevant institute or working towards chartered status is an advantage.
* Minimum 15 years' relevant professional experience in a similar function, with a good understanding of process safety and process design.
* Excellent leadership, interpersonal, interdisciplinary verbal and written communication skills.
* Self-motivated, able to work independently, organized, reliable, and with a professional approach and demeanor.
* Ability to work on several projects at one time, determine appropriate prioritization, and display an enthusiastic approach towards others with a 'teamwork' focus.
