We are hiring a Senior Manager, Global Indirect Tax and Transformation to join our Global Tax Operations team in Dublin (Ireland) or Remote US.

As a member of the ResMed Global Tax Operations team, you will be responsible for transformation of ResMed’s indirect tax collection, filing and audit process. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced person who can bring their specialized knowledge and insight to ResMed’s evolving product, software and services approach to sleep and home healthcare.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in indirect tax (VAT, GST, US Sales, etc.) with experience in a wide range of international jurisdictions. We are seeking an individual who has a passion for problem-solving and innovation and who can work collaboratively with different teams across the company with strong interpersonal and communication skills, highly organized, and have the ability to think strategically.
You will be based out of the Dublin, Ireland Office or Remote in the US and report to the Sr. Director, Tax Operations. You will focus on the development and implementation of processes required to deliver ResMed products and solutions globally, while minimizing indirect tax risk. This role requires a strong working knowledge of global indirect tax legislation and initiatives as you will be a key contributor on ResMed’s Order to Cash and overall tax return filing process. In addition to the Global Tax team, you will partner closely with Finance, Accounting, Shared Services teams, outside service providers, and advisors around the world.
Let's talk about responsibilities:
This role is responsible for the management and oversight of all aspects of indirect tax operations. The most important parts of this role are as follows:
1. Work with customer facing teams such as Order to Cash to enable a good customer experience that is in compliance with global indirect tax regulations.
2. Monitor and assess changes to global indirect tax laws, regulations, and work with Order to Cash and the Indirect Tax Operations team to update ResMed’s VAT, sales and use tax, and other indirect transaction-based tax collection, filing and tax audit processes as required.
3. Work closely with ResMed’s Tax Counsel team to analyze and interpret indirect tax legislation and guidance to provide accurate advice to provide guidance and support to other departments on indirect tax related matters reviewing pricing and product models by jurisdiction; to assess the applicability of any tax considerations (for both existing and new lines of business); and ensuring all company invoicing is compliant with local requirements.
4. Collaborate with Tax Counsel, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, and others to assess target indirect tax process compliance as part of M&A due diligence and integration activities.
5. Identify and implement indirect tax data and operational process improvements, focusing on controls, automation, efficiency, and analytics, leveraging internal Global Technology Solutions resources and the expertise and tools of outside service providers, recommending solutions that support business objectives.
6. Develop and manage budget for indirect tax and information process improvements.
7. Mentor and develop other team members by providing guidance and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Let's talk about qualifications and experience:
8. 8-10 years of technical experience in global indirect taxes in a public company environment
9. College degree in Tax or Accounting.
10. CPA, CA or similar designation, a plus.
11. Financial acumen with a deep understanding of international tax policies
12. Excellent communication and organization skills are key in this global environment.
13. Financial systems experience is required.
14. Public accounting experience is also helpful, but not required.
15. Proven track record of successfully leading and managing others.
