Job Description
Job Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to partner with Avery Dennison stakeholders to lead Finance transformation programs and continuous improvement, working closely and collaboratively to deliver the required program outcomes.
A key requirement of this position is the ability to leverage experience and build relationships within the Avery Dennison Global Finance organisation, including key project stakeholders and senior leadership to drive change required by the program.
Superior organisational and project management skills coupled with an attention to detail are a must. Experience working with external vendor teams, consultants, and outsourcers will be beneficial. Experience with problem solving frameworks; Design Thinking.
Job Description:
1. Join the Finance Continuous Improvement team of experienced Program Managers to deliver Transformation and Continuous Improvement priorities for Avery Dennison.
2. Partner with the Continuous Improvement team and other key stakeholders to identify, initiate, plan, execute, control and close Finance initiatives across all Avery Dennison businesses and regions.
3. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders on approach to solutioning problem statements to define initiation and planning activities.
4. Engage with Avery Dennison businesses and stakeholders across all regions to drive change, manage risks and issues, and communicate program updates through formal and informal governance mechanisms.
5. Be responsible for timely/accurate completion of tasks, as per the mutually aligned project schedule, dependencies, and deliverables following escalation mechanism, at appropriate level, as/if required.
6. Adopt relevant Change Management methods/tools required for success of programs. Plan and execute all Change Management elements per plan.
7. Open communication lines: engage stakeholders through each phase and guide through the change curve.
8. Engage Technology team, when applicable for key project requirements; voice and data connectivity, application, network, infrastructure and system access etc.
9. Consider lead-time of technology solutions and competing priorities
10. Proactively identify, raise and address risks/mitigations, actions, issues and decisions in an accurate and timely manner. Articulate to stakeholders including, where necessary, the steering committee (SteerCo) and/or executive sponsors.
11. Participate in status meetings and steering committee (SteerCo) preparation/meetings to share progress and adjust based on strategic inputs.

Essential:
12. Bachelors degree with relevant experience in Finance/Project Management
13. Project Management certification
Desirable:
14. Change Management certification
EXPERIENCE:
15. Strong experiential evidence of driving transformation/change activities within a global organisation - prior program management experience from initiation, to planning through execution and closure phases, including creating/reviewing project plans and scheduling all activities.
16. Strategic thinker with proven experience driving daily concepts to deliver longer term vision.
17. Excellent understanding of Program Management methodology, language and techniques.
18. Awareness of ERP, EPM, Business Intelligence and automation at the strategic and implementation levels.
19. Natural change agent - relationship builder, ability to gain respect and confidence of key stakeholders across: Finance, IT, HR and other business functions.
20. Can do mentality - ability to demonstrate partnership, resilience, transparency, control and collaboration are key requirements of this role.
21. Collaborative approach. Strong communication skills - ability to clearly articulate project level priorities and expectations as it relates to the program scope.
22. Ability to identify, document and manage risks and issues and define and execute successful mitigation strategies.
Additional Information
Project Management staff will be required to adopt a flexible working pattern to meet the changing operational requirements of the cross-European customer base.
This role may be based out of our EMEA or NAM locations.
