Regional Safety Engineer, Data Centre Health and Safety

Key Job Responsibilities
1. Implement safety standards, policies and best practices.
2. Provision and Management of Training: Induction, Refresher and Manual Handling Training as required, develop and deliver training/presentations to support achievement of H&S objectives. Manage the training database for all employees and ensure all H&S training requirements are fulfilled.
3. Collaborate with outside vendors (General Contractors, sub-contractors, Emergency Services) as they relate to operations and construction.
4. Ensure compliance and implementation of global safety programs and local regulatory legislation.
5. Develop and review safety plans for on-site emergencies, special events and other unique safety situations.
6. Perform safety data analysis and create bench marking.
7. Ensure safety record keeping and provide accurate reporting and metrics to support business safety initiatives.
8. Consult and work with compliance teams on safety regulations interpretations and investigations.
9. Develop and implement solutions to eliminate exposure to risks and prevent injury.
10. Adapt to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, strategy and deadlines.
11. Able to work as part of a team and provide safety support to regions outside of local cluster when required.
12. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level.
2. Experience in compliance, audit or risk management.
3. Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
4. Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
5. Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent.
6. Master's degree or equivalent.
