Job role: Health & Safety Officer Galway The CSR Group has been retained by a leading Civil Engineering Contractor who endeavours into works across Ireland and the UK. This company is advertising a job role for a Senior H&S Officer in Galway. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced H&S professional to join a leading Contractor and implement a top-down approach. They see H&S as one of their main priorities within their working environment and always go above and beyond to keep it up to standard. The Successful candidate will have 7+ years experience in construction H&S. And recent experience working on Civil Projects. Day-to-day responsibilities: Keeping up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employers industry Leading in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks Outlining safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards and communicating to all employees Keeping records of inspections findings and producing reports that suggest improvements Delivering Toolbox Talks and liaising with HSE, Fire Officers, Environmental Health Officers Carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented and adhered to Making changes to working practices making them safer and ensuring they comply with current legislation Skills and qualifications: Recognised EHS Degree or Diploma (NEBOSH diploma or equivalent qualification preferred) 7+ years in a H&S Construction role Civils Experience For more information or to discuss in confidence, please contact Dylan Byrne at CSR on.
