Senior Engineer (Residential Development) Location: Dublin 8 Salary: Competitive, based on experience About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Engineer to join a major residential development project in Dublin 8. This is a key role within the project, primarily focused on coordinating engineering tasks across various disciplines and ensuring seamless integration of all engineering aspects of the development. The Senior Engineer will work closely with the Project Manager and Site Manager to ensure the engineering works are executed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Act as the main point of contact for all engineering-related matters on site, ensuring effective coordination between all engineering disciplines (civil, structural, M&E). Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day engineering activities on site, ensuring the project adheres to design specifications and timelines. Liaise with the design team, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve any technical issues that may arise during construction. Provide engineering support to the site team, ensuring that all works are carried out in accordance with the approved design, regulations, and safety standards. Review and verify all technical drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure they meet the project requirements. Monitor the quality and progress of engineering works on site, conducting inspections and ensuring compliance with project schedules. Coordinate site testing and commissioning processes for various engineering works. Assist with the preparation of reports, progress updates, and technical documentation for the Project Manager and senior management team. Ensure all engineering activities are documented properly and project records are maintained accurately. Identify potential risks related to engineering processes and work with the site team to mitigate these risks effectively. Support and mentor junior engineers and site staff, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment. Key Requirements: Minimum of 5 years experience in an engineering role, with a strong background in residential developments. Experience in coordinating and managing engineering tasks across multiple disciplines (civil, structural, M&E). Strong technical knowledge and experience in construction engineering, particularly in apartment or residential projects. Excellent understanding of engineering principles, construction processes, and industry standards. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders, including the design team, contractors, and site staff. Proficient in using engineering and project management software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project). Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
