Our Recycling Business Unit currently has a need for a Transport Administrator on a permanent basis. The role will be based in BNM Recycling Navan and will report to the Depot Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling skip operations, responding to and resolving customer calls and queries, coordinating with drivers, logistics, and customer service teams, and providing coverage for weighbridge operations and cardboard confirmations.

The Role:
The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following:
1. Communicate and brief drivers on their daily schedules, ensuring they have accurate information to complete routes efficiently.
2. Conduct daily debriefings with drivers on both commercial and domestic routes.
3. Respond to and resolve customer calls and queries.
4. Liaise with drivers, logistics, customer service, and management to resolve customer service issues thoroughly and efficiently.
5. Communicate resolutions to relevant personnel within Bord Na Móna Recycling, ensuring clear instructions are in place to prevent recurring issues.
6. Verify docket weights and calculate the average weight per bale.
7. Check for correct job dates on dockets; if a job is missing, verify in the system or create a new docket.
8. Confirm routes as scheduled, document docket numbers, and complete routes as planned.
9. File dockets by date in the designated folder labeled “Tullamore Cardboard – [Month].”
10. Provide weighbridge cover and additional holiday cover as required.
11. Actively participate in the Performance Management process to meet individual and team objectives.
12. Comply with all Health and Safety measures to ensure the well-being of employees and the public on company premises.
The Person:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications, skills, knowledge, and attributes:
1. Minimum 2 – 3 years experience in a similar role – Waste Management / Logistics environment.
2. Good Written and Verbal English essential.
3. Must be flexible to work across different work sections within the business.
4. Proficiency in the English language is a requirement alongside eligibility to work in Ireland.
5. Experience in the waste industry a distinct advantage.
