Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor to collaborate with a diverse team and who is accountable for the Supervision/Management of engaging resources to meet department metrics. The newly expanded state of the art department works on a 2 shift cycle delivering benefit to our valued customers by producing High Performance Liquid Chromatography, Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography, and Nano Technology Columns. The position would suit an enthusiastic team player who is seeking a rewarding career in a busy manufacturing department.
Responsibilities
* Day to day supervision and development of a Manufacturing Team
* Ensure daily/weekly Targets/KPIs are being achieved - product output, yield, product availability, department efficiencies etc.
* Work closely with Support Departments (Materials/Engineering) - to ensure continuity of product Supply - measuring machine downtime, product cycle time etc.
* Make sure that all production practices are in accordance with appropriate quality standards (21CFR820, ISO9001, ISO13485, GMP)
* Responsible for the development, safety, and performance of all members of the team
* Identify and implement improvements and upgrades in the area and support/promote the innovation initiative. Support all Lean Transformation initiatives within the area and participate in/lead projects as required
* Ensure that all persons are adequately trained and ensure that an accurate skills matrix is maintained, identifying opportunities for cross-training as required
Qualifications
Education:
Degree in Chemistry or equivalent qualification and/or relevant years’ experience.
Experience:
Previous Supervisory experience in a GMP environment is preferable with experience in 21CFR820, ISO9001, and ISO13485.

* Have good people management skills
* Have good technical ability and aptitude for troubleshooting
* Have good interpersonal and communication skills
* Demonstrate sound judgment/rationale.
* Good report writing and reviewing skills.
* Proven ability to identify and deliver continuous improvement opportunities.
* Show ability to work on own initiative and multitask
