Job Description:
Maintenance Assistant
Reports to: Hotel Manager Liaises with: Front Office Manager/Housekeeping Manager/Food and Beverage.
The Address Citywest is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Assistant who will be responsible for developing and implementing maintenance procedures throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop Maintenance Procedures: Create and implement comprehensive maintenance plans to ensure the upkeep of company facilities.
2. Facilities Inspections: Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and resolve problems promptly.
3. Installation, Repair, and Upkeep: Oversee all installation, repair, and upkeep operations to ensure company facilities are well-maintained and adequate for business operations.
4. Workload Allocation and Supervision: Allocate tasks to the maintenance team and supervise their work to ensure timely completion.
5. Equipment Inventory and Ordering: Monitor equipment inventory and place orders as necessary to maintain an efficient maintenance operation.
6. Expense Control and Budget Management: Manage maintenance expenses and control the budget to optimize resource allocation.
7. Relationships with Contractors and Service Providers: Build and maintain relationships with contractors and service providers to ensure seamless execution of maintenance tasks.
8. Maintenance Logs and Reporting: Keep accurate maintenance logs and report on daily activities to inform management decisions.
9. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to health and safety policies and regulations, including fire safety protocols.
Requirements and Skills:
* Techincal Knowledge: Solid understanding of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, and other technical aspects of facilities management.
* Familiarity with Facilities Machines and Equipment: Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment to effectively maintain and operate them.
* Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests, colleagues, and external contractors.
* Organizational and Leadership Abilities: Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities to manage the maintenance team and prioritize tasks.
* Aptitude in Administrative Tasks: Ability to undertake administrative tasks such as reporting, budgeting, and other duties related to maintenance management.
