Fexco Drive Operations are currently recruiting for a Cloud Security Engineer to join their team.
This role is a permanent, full-time position with the opportunity to work from our offices based in Killorglin, Co. Kerry with flexibility to work a hybrid model.
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilledCloud Security Engineerto design, implement, and maintain robust security controls for our cloud infrastructure.
This role involves identifying security risks, implementing best practices, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in cloud security, automation, and threat mitigation.
Key Responsibilities Cloud Security Architecture:
Design and implement security frameworks for cloud environments (Azure, GCP, OCI, AWS).
Threat Detection & Response:
Monitor, investigate, and respond to security threats and vulnerabilities.
Identity & Access Management (IAM):Enforce secure access policies, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and least privilege principles.
Security Automation:
Develop automated security solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and scripting.
Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure adherence to security standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 20000, NIST CSF v2.0, PCI DSS, SOC 1, SOC 2, CIS, DORA, and GDPR.
Incident Response:
Lead security investigations and coordinate responses to cloud security incidents.
Collaboration & Training:
Work with DevSecOps/DevOps teams, IT, and security teams to enhance cloud security awareness.
Penetration Testing & Audits:
Perform security assessments and recommend improvements.
Required Skills &
Experience Cloud Platforms:
Hands-on experience with Azure, GCP, OCI or AWS security services.
Security Tools:
Proficiency with SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint security solutions.
Scripting & Automation:
Knowledge of Python, PowerShell, or Terraform for security automation.
Network Security:
Understanding of cloud networking, firewalls, VPNs, and Zero Trust security models.
Compliance & Governance:
Familiarity with regulatory and industry-specific frameworks (SOC1, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, DORA, NIST CSF v2.0, ISO ).
CI/CD Security:
Experience securing DevOps pipelines and containerised applications.
Incident Response:
Strong problem-solving skills in handling cloud security incidents.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Certifications (Preferred): AWS
Certified Security Specialty Microsoft Certified:
