Job Title: Postdoctoral Researcher
Department: School of Pharmacy & Biomolecular Sciences
Reporting to: Prof. Roger Preston
Contract/Duration: 1 year, extendable to 2 years.

Summary of Post: We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Preston Lab at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), centrally located next to St Stephen’s Green, Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research to develop novel therapeutics for haemostatic disorders. This position offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of breakthrough discoveries that have the potential to improve patient care.
Specifically, the duties of the post are:
* Designing, conducting, and analysing experimental studies related to bleeding disorders.
* Developing and optimising novel therapeutic strategies through in vitro and in vivo methodologies.
* Publishing research findings in high-impact peer-reviewed journals.
* Presenting research outcomes at national and international conferences.
* To work both independently and collaboratively within a research team.
* Demonstrate excellent communication and scientific writing skills.
Knowledge & Experience – (Essential):
* The ideal candidate would be self-motivated, creative and highly competent, as evidenced by first author publications in recognised journals.
* Experience in recombinant protein expression/biochemistry techniques, haemostasis or animal models of bleeding disorders would be advantageous.
