A leading logistics and transport company is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Transport Administrator/Coordinator. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of the company's transport activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Transport Coordination:
o Plan and schedule transport operations to ensure timely deliveries.
* Administrative Support:
o Maintain accurate records of transport activities, driver schedules, and delivery documentation.
o Prepare transport reports and analyze performance metrics.
o Assist in the preparation of invoices, quotes, and contracts.
* Driver Communication:
o Act as the main point of contact for drivers, providing instructions, updates, and support when required.
o Address driver queries, concerns, and issues promptly.
* Client Liaison:
o Communicate with clients to confirm delivery details, address inquiries, and handle complaints professionally.
o Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive problem-solving.
* Regulatory Compliance:
o Ensure all transport operations comply with local and international regulations, including health, safety, and environmental standards.
o Maintain up-to-date knowledge of transport legislation and implement changes as needed.
* Problem-Solving:
o Respond promptly to transport-related issues such as delays, vehicle breakdowns, or route changes.
o Identify and implement solutions to optimize operational efficiency.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in transport coordination, logistics, or a similar role.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Proficiency in transport management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Knowledge of Irish and EU transport regulations is an advantage.
