Job Description
King and Moffatt Building Services is currently looking to hire a number of Pipe Fitter Apprentices for our Off-site facility in Carrick-on-Shannon.
This is a 4-year Solas apprenticeship, giving you the opportunity to earn as you learn, while becoming a fully qualified Pipefitter, with a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Craft.
What you would do
* Work with a variety of specialized hand and power tools
* Develop a knowledge of a range of piping systems
* Perform a range of welding processes
* Interpretate pipefitting drawings and specifications
* Plan and organize the installation of piping systems
* Inspect and test piping systems and fault diagnosis
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on piping systems
* Day to day liaison with the Supervisor
* Secure pipes to the building structure in an approved manner.
* Comply with all EHSQ policies and procedures as required.
Qualifications
* Leaving Certificate
* A positive attitude towards learning and the ability to solve problems
* Under supervision, efficiently work independently or as part of a team
* Excellent communicate skills
* Demonstrate good work practices including timekeeping, tidiness, responsibility, quality awareness and safety awareness
* CSCS Skill Card/Safe Pass ideally
