All Affidea’s clinics have received the Standard in Ambulatory Care from the Joint Commission International.We have an exciting new opportunity for an IMC Registered General practitioner with a special interest in weight management to join the Affidea team and lead our new partnership with Reset health to establish the Roczen Metabolic Health Programme.The ideal candidate is someone who is deeply passionate about the mission to reverse diabetes and obesity in 1 million people worldwide within five years. They are hands-on, actively involved in all aspects of the process, from initial planning to implementation, ensuring that results are achieved.Responsibilities:Clinical Operations:Reporting to the CEO of UK & Ireland, lead our Roczen Clinics, with support from the nursing and administrative team. This involves medically assessing members with history taking and review, ordering relevant investigations, and providing counselling and explanation of the Roczen Programme.Work autonomously and take responsibility for own caseload of members.Complete all necessary documentations and records for all members.Work collaboratively alongside a multidisciplinary team, including attending and presenting at the weekly Multidisciplinary Team Meetings.Actively participate in the development and implementation of clinical protocols and guidelines for members with diabetes and obesity.Take responsibility for self-development on a continual basis, undertaking on-the-job and other training as required, actively seek and participate in peer review of their own practice.Use your specialist knowledge in diabetes and complications associated with metabolic disease in order to assess, develop, and implement tailored care for patients with diabetes, under the supervision of the Head of Clinical Services.Clinical Governance:Ensure healthcare regulations and standards are met and exceeded, and that the clinical team are delivering against key performance indicators.Contribute to the facilitation of the planning, delivery and evaluation of care pathways for our members.Develop and implement clinical audits and governance programmes.Qualifications:Active IMC (Irish Medical Council) Registration.Active GMC (General Medical Council) Registration would be beneficial.5+ years clinical experience in General Medicine or General Practice.Experience:Good clinical knowledge of obesity, diabetes and other metabolic disorders.Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritise workload independently.Genuinely interested in lifestyle medicine and digital health.Compassionate nature with the ability to make patients feel at ease.Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.Confidence working with digital platforms and IT.Have worked in a healthcare / health tech start-up.Experience in chronic disease management and Endocrinology, including diabetes.Prior practice management, quality, data analytics and managed care experience.Eligible to work in the Ireland/UK.Application Process:By clicking apply to this role your application will not only be considered for this position, but your details will be stored on our database and may be considered for similar future positions that may arise.
