Assistant Team Leader - Tralee
We have an exciting new opportunity here at Gally’s Bar & Restaurant for an experienced Assistant Team Leader with a strong passion for providing high-quality food and bar service, whilst understanding the true value of excellent customer service. This position is based in Tralee, Co Kerry.
The ideal candidate must be a dedicated manager who is driven by achieving success. The ability to create, motivate and inspire a team of staff is essential.
Duties and Responsibilities as Assistant Team Leader:
* Assisting management
* Liaising with the head chef and General Manager regarding menu planning and budgeting.
* Meeting HACCP requirements and food safety standards
* Leading the team in terms of providing excellent customer service
* Conducting himself/herself in a professional manner at all times especially when in the public eye
* Coaching, counseling, and developing Assistant and Trainee managers into a state of self-sufficiency to build and maintain high sales and profits
Requirements of the Assistant Team Leader job:
* Previous experience managing a restaurant/catering environment
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent knowledge of HACCP
* Strong communication skills
* Strong leadership skills

Typical duties and tasks include:
* Greeting customers
* Making suggestions based on customer preferences
* Adhering to all relevant health and safety rules/regulations & customer service guidelines
* Providing a 5-star drinks and food service
* Keeping premises neat and presentable at all times
* Cooperating with, and assisting bar servers when necessary
* Taking payments
* Meeting stock and cleaning requirements
Desirable but not essential attributes for applications as training will be provided:
* Greater than one year experience (preferably)
* Manual handling certificate (preferably)
* Food hygiene certificate (preferably)
