The Opportunity
We are now seeking a Systems Operations Coordinator to join our Systems Operations team. As Systems Operations Coordinator, you will primarily be responsible for providing administrative and coordination support to the Near Time / Real Time team but are also expected to support other teams within the System Operations Function. You will be responsible for managing the preparation and generation of key reports, organising and coordinating meetings as well as managing the teams’ SharePoint site.
In your role, you will be expected to maintain training records, manage email distribution and contact lists, co-ordinate control centre visits as well as manage and monitor the shift rota / leave schedule for National Control Centre engineers. The ability to use clear and concise communication methods and work on your own initiative will be important in this role.
The Team
The System Operations Function is a key part of this Office. Its role is to ensure that the operation of the power system is carried out in a safe, secure and economic manner.
The Near Time / Real Time team within System Operations is a team that is staffed with engineers who provide critical services to the National Control Centre and help maintain resilience in the power system while maximising output from renewables and facilitating both maintenance and connection of new infrastructure.
About You
* Relevant operational and administration experience within a corporate environment
* Proficient in SharePoint and MS Office including Outlook, Excel, Access, Word
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Strong organisational skills and demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, while also being able to define and guide own work under minimal supervision
* Ability to tactfully handle confidential data
* Strong numerical ability and attention to detail
* Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task
