Retail Store Manager
The Store Manager is responsible for achieving sales targets by delivering excellent customer service, driving repeat business, and increasing sales through up-selling and cross-selling. You'll ensure the store has the right products at the right time by collaborating with the buying team and managing day-to-day store operations effectively.
Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Performance:
o Meet annual sales targets and key metrics like sales, profit margins, conversion rates, and stock loss.
o Identify new opportunities for sales through product offerings or new suppliers.
2. Store Operations:
o Manage daily operations, assign tasks to the team, and oversee their performance.
o Ensure clear pricing and an easy shopping experience for customers.
o Maintain high standards of store appearance and product displays.
3. Team Management:
o Build and lead a customer-focused team with strong product knowledge and selling skills.
o Train and support staff to reach their full potential.
4. Market Awareness:
o Keep an eye on competitors and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
o Build strong relationships with local chambers, centre management, and tour operators to increase visibility.
5. Collaboration:
o Work with buying, marketing, warehouse, and other teams to improve performance and implement local marketing efforts.
o Use marketing strategies to drive awareness and sales.
Requirements:
* Experience in a fast-paced retail environment, focusing on sales and profit growth.
* Strong visual merchandising skills to optimize product displays.
* Ability to adapt to a changing retail environment and apply new ideas successfully.
* Proven skills in coaching and team building to meet customer needs.
* Knowledge of sales techniques to drive revenue.
