Senior Project Manager sought to lead technology transformation projects in Financial Services Sector.
Job Description
The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of critical digital projects, enhancing financial services and retail operations within a hybrid role that requires onsite presence in Dublin for 2-3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities
1. Apply best practice governance methodology to manage and deliver project initiatives.
2. Contribute to creation of business cases, project charters, proposals, quotes, estimates, and project budgets.
3. Ensure required resources are identified and available to the project.
4. Provide clear and concise status reporting regarding project planning, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, issues, and budgets.
5. Prepare and issue status reports on agreed schedules to the Steering Group and PMO.
6. Accept full project lifecycle ownership across assigned projects/programs.
7. Work with multiple third parties to ensure timely delivery.
8. Manage stakeholder involvement throughout the project to ensure success.
9. Provide leadership in promoting collaboration and communication across teams.
10. Deliver results under pressurized timelines.
Requirements
1. Minimum 5 years proven experience managing complex IT projects to completion.
2. Knowledge of web and mobile app projects is essential, along with previous experience in Financial Services.
3. Experience leading, motivating, and managing various project and program team sizes, including internal and external stakeholders and third parties.
4. Possess strong interpersonal and presentation skills across all levels with ability to influence.
5. Strong project financial management skills.
6. Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
7. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent, preferred. Formal Project Management qualification also desired.
