This post offers an opportunity to join the UNESCO Chair team at MTU in delivering and reviewing aspects of Empower Ed: Flexible Learning Pathways for Students with Intellectual Disabilities.

Research Aims
* To inform future policy considerations in respect of students with intellectual disabilities in higher education.
* To support the design, delivery and evaluation of programmes and resources to develop competence among participants with intellectual disability in Human Rights, Advocacy, Self-Representation and Expression and Mentor Skill Development.

Key Responsibilities
* Support the design, delivery and evaluation of programmes and resources.
* Undertake primary and secondary research on the Empower Ed programme using a variety of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
* Report research and evaluation outcomes in a variety of formats.
* Examine mechanisms for scaling practice and positively impacting future policy considerations.

* Excellent communication skills.
* Knowledge augmentative and alternative communication for intellectual disability.
* A record in research with people with intellectual disability.

Working Arrangements
The successful candidate will work part-time (17.5 hours per week) for 15 months.

Citizenship Requirement
Eligibility to compete for posts is open to citizens of the European Economic Area (EEA) or to non-EEA nationals with a valid work permit.
