Contract Type: Opportunities available for Full-time and Part-time positions.
Role Responsibilities:
* Work as part of a team to assist the people we support to lead a full life as contributing members of their own communities.
* Collaborate with the line manager to ensure service objectives are met and reviewed to maintain, improve, and develop the service.
* Promote resident involvement, consultation, and participation.
* Manage risk systematically, embedding a culture of safety, welfare, and quality of life for residents.
* Support residents to have an enjoyable and fulfilling home life.
Education & Training:
* A minimum of a QQI Level 7 Degree in Applied Social Studies in Social Care / Social Care Practice / Social Care Work / Professional Social Care.
Experience:
* Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities/complex needs is a distinct advantage.
* Experience in delivering low arousal approaches in a person-centered environment.
Knowledge & Skills:
* Awareness of key worker role and the philosophy of supporting people with intellectual disabilities.
* Knowledge of Health Act 2007, HIQA, and National Standards.
* Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to develop positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders, particularly service users.
