Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Cloud Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operational IT Cloud Operations, Infrastructure, and Cloud Services supporting the business. You will work closely with the Cloud Team Lead and collaborate on the transition of new or enhanced cloud services from projects into operations. You will support, and if necessary, perform the implementation, configuration, tuning, and administration of business-critical and complex Cloud Infrastructure, Operating System, and Cloud implementation, configuration, tuning, monitoring, and administration of Development, Test, and Production environments.
Responsibilities:
1. Implement and configure business-critical and complex Cloud Infrastructure, Operating System, and Cloud implementation.
2. Collaborate on the transition of new or enhanced cloud services from projects into operations.
3. Work on the resolution of Incidents and Problems aligned with internal ITIL standards.
4. Create and update documentation including diagrams, recovery processes, and run books.
5. Involve in Disaster Recovery planning and exercises and execution if required.
6. Provide out-of-hours cover as part of the Standby Rota and participate in out-of-hours work as required.
7. Keep abreast of industry trends and undertake technical training to maintain skills.
Core Technologies for this role (highly desirable): Azure, Office 365, Oracle Cloud, Azure networking, Azure AAD, Active Directory, Microsoft Servers OS, Azure Conditional Policies, Azure PIM, Exchange Online, OCI IDCS & OCI Compute Instances
Requirements:
8. Certification in Microsoft Azure is highly desirable.
9. Relevant third level qualifications and/or accreditation are desirable.
10. A minimum of 3 years' experience in Cloud Engineering or similar industries is desirable and or relevant experience.
11. Experience managing a team, with strong people, change management and conflict resolution skills.
12. The ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships with key stakeholders internally and externally.
13. A good track record for dealing with complex issues, proactively and in a timely fashion, along with the ability to communicate information to others.
14. Highly motivated individual, working to the highest professional standards and with a proven ability to deliver results within a team.
15. Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and analyse problems and potential improvements and propose and implement solutions.
16. Demonstrate adaptability and the ability to change focus and direction in line with business strategy and requirements.
17. Proactively identifying new areas of improvement and using newly gained knowledge and skills on the job.
