Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced finance leader to join a leading science and research organisation in South Dublin. As Finance Manager, you will be part of a dynamic, fast-paced environment, directly supporting division team leads while overseeing and coordinating the team's workflow to ensure all deliverables are met within required deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
* Financial reporting and provision of management information to senior leadership teams and external bodies.
* Overseeing timely delivery of cost statements across multiple external funders, assisting in preparation when required.
* Reviewing GAAP-compliant audit files, ensuring income, expenditure, debtor, and creditor figures align with financial statements.
* Managing statutory audit, ensuring all required audit information is gathered and completed in line with best practices.
* Ensuring financial control of research project accounts across external agencies and internal UCD accounts.
* Coordinating team's workflow, ensuring deliverables are completed within tight deadlines.
* Providing technical financial guidance to the team.
* Managing and maintaining statutory and non-statutory leave entitlements in line with organisational policies.
* Implementing audit recommendations into ongoing work practices.
Requirements
* Fully Qualified Accountant with a minimum of five years post-qualification experience.
* Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel (experience with Workday or a similar ERP system is advantageous).
* Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-changing environment.
* Strong initiative and ability to work independently.
