Our client, a leading professional services firm with offices nationwide, is seeking a Tax Director or Senior Tax Manager to join their growing team in Limerick. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' practice experience and be CTA qualified and a qualified accountant with a strong practice background.
As a Tax Director or Senior Tax Manager, you will work closely with partners and senior management while having responsibility for the management of the Taxation team. You will also have the opportunity to work with a large portfolio of indigenous owner-managed and internationally owned businesses from various industries.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the team in maintaining and developing the firm's relationship with a portfolio of clients, including coordination of service offerings from other departments.
* Ensure that payment and return filing deadlines are met for a portfolio of clients across all tax heads.
* Work with partners on advising clients on potential structures suitable for their business, M&A and succession planning opportunities.
* Act as a key member of an integrated client service team working on a wide range of assignments, including tax advisory projects.
* Contribute towards collective (departmental) targets for billing, net fee income, and cash collection as well as personal and firm-wide goals.
* Involvement in business development and marketing initiatives at the firm, department, and team levels.
Ideal Candidate:
* CTA qualified and a qualified accountant.
* Strong practice background with previous experience operating at Senior Manager or Director level.
* In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in interpreting Irish Tax legislation, relevant commentary, and case law.
* Experience of working in corporation tax compliance, including larger corporates and on tax consultancy assignments.
* Experience of managing client relationships and projects to completion.
* Comfortable training, supervising, and delegating to staff.
* Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to nurture positive working relationships with coworkers and clients.
* Excellent organizational and planning capabilities.
* Ability to work to deadlines and deliver under pressure.
* Excellent computer-literacy skills, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
