Senior Payroll Specialist Role
A senior-level payroll position available for a fully on-site Monday-Friday role, with a permanent contract.
About the Job
This role is part of the HR Team and will report directly to the Departmental Head. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the payroll for over 400 employees within a busy manufacturing and production organisation with international business operations.
Responsibilities
* Accurate and timely end-to-end processing and delivery of monthly payroll for all Irish payroll operations.
* Ensuring that monthly tax payments and compliance requirements are met for all entities covered by Irish payroll.
* Providing excellent customer service in responding to and resolving all employee payroll queries in an efficient and professional manner.
* Fostering collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders, particularly finance and HR, to ensure seamless payroll processing and meet local/regional requirements.
* Evaluating payroll processes and procedures for continuous improvement.
* Identifying risks/gaps and ensuring appropriate controls are in place.
* Complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times.
Requirements
* Payroll certification/qualification (e.g., IPASS qualification).
* Experience in a senior payroll position, with a strong knowledge of Irish taxation and payroll regulations.
* Minimum 4+ years' experience in payroll processing.
* Preference for MegaPay software knowledge.
* Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly MS Excel.
* Strong analytical skills, problem-solving skills with thorough attention to detail.
* Team player, professional, and proactive approach to work, positive attitude with the ability to communicate across multiple teams.
* Proven ability to work independently with a broad range of stakeholders.
