Eir evo talent are currently seeking applicants for a Senior Data Architect. This is a day rate contract position located with our client in Dublin 1. This is a hybrid position, requiring 2 days onsite per week. The initial contract duration is 24 months with multiple extensions likely.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and coordinate a variety of data integration and warehousing workstreams interfacing with systems including, but not limited to SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Databases, Microsoft Dynamics, MS SQL Server, on-prem databases; and streaming and near real-time data sources.
* Assist the Head of Data in the design and implementation of data strategies using Azure and Fabric services to manage, monitor, secure, and ensure privacy of data. This will include the migration of existing infrastructure to the Microsoft Fabric Platform, and the integration of considerably more streaming data.
* Assist the Head of Data in the development and implementation of an integrated data architecture framework across Azure and Fabric platforms; and coordinating the documentation of infrastructure delivered in a manner that will enable ongoing support of these systems. Architecture will be documented using Lucid Chart and Confluence.
* Assist the Head of Data in the continuous improvement of the Data Hub Operating and Support Model, the Data Architecture Framework and associated data engineering and support processes.
* Represent the Data function, and coordinate Data input on projects to be delivered.
* Facilitate knowledge transfer to, and upskilling of staff.
Required Skills:
* At least ten years’ experience leading data integration workstreams including requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and documentation of design.
* Experience developing and implementing data strategies, operating models, and governance frameworks.
* In-depth expertise in Azure cloud services, including but not limited to Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure DevOps.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric services and best practices.
* In-depth experience with relational data systems and data architecture paradigms including, but not limited to Delta Lake and Spark.
* In-depth experience in data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions, especially within the Azure ecosystem.
* Proficiency with Microsoft security and governance tools, including Purview, Advisor, Monitor and Microsoft Defender for cloud.
* Familiarity with programming and scripting languages such as Python, R, SQL, PowerShell, and ARM templates for Azure automation.
