Laffan Concrete Pumps are looking to recruit a HGV Mechanic to join our service team at our busy garage in Miltown, Kilmacow, Co.Kilkenny.
Requirements:
* Must be fully qualified
* Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
* Ability to communicate in English (both oral and written)
* Ability to work in a fast paced environment
* Full clean driving license
* C License desirable but not essential
Responsibilities and Duties:
* Provide mechanical service and maintenance routine inspections, quickly and accurately.
* Carry out mechanical repairs and diagnostic fault finding to ensure the fleet is consistently maintained and road worthy.
* Record all relevant details of maintenance work and keep all records up to date in a timely manner.
* Work independently and as part of a team maintaining good working relationships with colleagues.
* Provide training and advice to colleagues and apprentices as required.
* Use all parts, materials and equipment in an efficient and safe manner.
* Complete all tasks in accordance with Health and Safety regulations.
* Keep maintenance/work area clean and orderly at all times.
* May be required to go to call outs for breakdowns from time to time.
About You
* HGV/Mechanic qualifications.
* Hydraulically assisted machinery experience.
* A proven track record in auto electrical fault diagnosis and repairs.
* Good working knowledge of electric and mechanical systems.
* Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
* The ability to meet deadlines.
