We are currently recruiting a skilled and dedicated IT Specialist to provide support for Manufacturing Execution System (MES) issues in production areas. In this role, you will assist relevant teams in resolving problems, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and contributing to both short- and long-term projects. You will work closely with all departments to troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
Act as support IT contact for all industrial functions including Operations, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, Quality & Engineering - responsible for solving issues, driving enhancements, and improving support for all IT related functions: application support, infrastructure support, and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Front Line Daily Support:
* Provide real-time technical support for MES-related issues in production environments.
* Respond promptly to user inquiries and system alerts, ensuring minimal downtime.
* Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related problems on the production floor.
* Ensure that MES systems are functioning correctly and supporting production goals.
Network Administration:
* Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the network infrastructure supporting MES applications.
* Manage network connectivity for production systems and ensure optimal communication between devices and software.
* Ensure network security and monitor traffic to prevent potential issues.
Network Maintenance:
* Perform regular maintenance and updates to network infrastructure and connected devices.
* Implement measures for system redundancy and reliability to minimize network disruptions.
* Monitor network performance and implement proactive solutions to address potential risks.
Applications Support:
* Provide technical support for MES software applications, including troubleshooting, patching, and upgrades.
* Work closely with application vendors and internal teams to identify and implement enhancements or fixes.
* Monitor MES application performance and recommend improvements for optimization and efficiency.
Disaster Recovery:
* Assist in planning, developing, and testing disaster recovery procedures related to MES and IT infrastructure.
* Support recovery efforts in case of system failures, ensuring that business continuity is maintained.
* Regularly review and update disaster recovery plans to ensure preparedness for unforeseen events.
Requirements
Key Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
* Proven experience in IT support, specifically in a manufacturing or production environment.
* Strong knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), network administration, and application support.
* Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
* Solid understanding of disaster recovery planning and best practices.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
* Experience with MES platforms and manufacturing technologies.
* Certifications in IT support or network management (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Cisco, Microsoft Certified).
* Familiarity with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) best practices for support and service management.
