Access to Care Theatre Scheduling - UPMC Cleaboy -WaterfordLocation: Cleaboy Business Office (Med Records) -Unit 9Job type: Fixed TermOverview of role: We are looking for an Access to Care Advisor to join our busy Theatre Scheduling team in our Waterford Cleaboy office. You would be responsible for booking inpatients procedures into the Hospital system, working as part of a team and collaborating with other integral teams across the UPMC network. The access to care advisor will report to the Access to Care Theatre Scheduling Team Leader.
•39 hours per week.
•Monday to Friday.
•Shift rotation from 07:00 to 17:00 (4 days at 8 hours, 1 day at 7 hours on a rotational basis)
•9-month fixed term contract.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe Access to Care team is responsible for the efficient
processing of administrative support services throughout our facilities. The
Theatre Scheduling team manages Inpatient scheduling, and the duties include
but are not limited to:Responsibility for scheduling patient procedures and related physical pre-assessment appointments in a timely manner.Collection and confirmation of patient demographic and insurance information as required and enter data accurately into the department's Scheduling system.Ensure timely and effective communication with patients in advance of their admission.Establish and maintain open and professional communication with ancillary departments and Consultants whose services are scheduled by this department.Communication of theatre schedules to relevant departments.Meet KPI metrics defined for the department.RequirementsWhilst training is provided, the below attributes are
