Compensation: $110,500 - $135,350 (DOE) + Bonus & Benefits
The Company: A well-established retailer is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join its high-performing Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. The Role: The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in forecasting, long-term planning, reporting, and strategic financial analysis to support the Finance department and senior leadership. This role requires strong financial modeling skills, the ability to work with ambiguity, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate will have experience collaborating with stakeholders across an organization and providing meaningful insights that drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the weekly forecasting process, analyzing key P&L components (sales, gross margin, inventory, etc.)
* Partner with business units to identify financial trends, variances, and key drivers to provide insights for decision-making
* Assist with the annual budgeting and long-term planning processes, helping to set financial targets and build forecasts
* Communicate key updates to business partners, generate high-level summaries, and explain financial variances
* Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports, including analysis of business performance, inventory trends, and balance sheet data
* Support Investor Relations and executive leadership with analytical insights and board-level financial discussions
* Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support business strategy and operational improvements
Qualifications:
* 4-5+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or financial analysis (retail industry experience but not required)
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (CFA or MBA a plus)
* Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with a data-driven approach to problem-solving
* Experience with financial systems and applications (PowerBI, Hyperion, MicroStrategy, Peoplesoft Financials, etc.)
* Proficiency in Excel (advanced modeling) and PowerPoint
* Ability to synthesize large data sets and translate findings into actionable insights
* Strong communication and business partnering skills—ability to collaborate across teams and present to leadership
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and taking ownership of projects with minimal oversight
