Au-WH Respite Shankill Permanent Full-Time 169 hours per month We currently have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Community Support Worker to join our Respite Services in Shankill, Co Dublin.
As a Community Support Worker, you will be involved in supporting clients to achieve their personal outcomes to build on their potential and to develop positive roles within their home and in the community.
Shifts will be a mix of sleep-over and day shifts with some waking nights as required.
Applicants must have:
One year's post qualification experience of working with adults with intellectual disabilityA knowledge of the HIQA regulations and standardsExperience of working alone in a one-to-one environment as well as experience of teamworkExperience of dealing with behaviours that challenge and with behavioural supportsCPI experienceExperience of teaching skills in cooking, budgeting, cleaning & building confidence skillsUnderstanding and experience of therapeutic interventionsExperience in alternative communicationsExcellent organisation and communication skillsExperience of creative problem-solving techniquesEnthusiasm, energy, and creativityCan deal with confidential information in a discreet and responsible mannerExcellent IT and report writing skillsHold a full driving licence and have access to own transportBe flexible to work a variety of rostered shifts over a seven-day work periodRequirement: Applicant must hold a QQI Level 7 in Social Care or Foreign Equivalent (validated by QQI)

Salary Scale:
Successful candidates will be paid as per the consolidated pay Scale of Social Care Worker MHA.
