About the Opportunity Dairygold Co-Operative Society Limited is pleased to invite applications for the position of Shift Manager at our Mallow Nutritionals Campus. Reporting to the Production Manager the Shift Manager will work with the Production Manager and Site Management team to achieve Site targets and meet and exceed customer expectations. Key Responsibilities Health & Safety -Promote a safety culture within the site, monitor adherence to all Environmental, Health & Safety standards and procedures, through permits, LOTO, accident and near miss reporting and PPE controls, among other safety initiatives People -Lead and manage a team of production operators, operator workgroups and PSs. Support recruitment, probationary reviews, manage performance and IR/ER issues. Cost- Manage payroll, yield and ingredients usage through internal IT systems Customer- Managing delivery times while adhering to good food hygiene and GMP standards. Close out on customer complaints and ensure implementation of actions following audits. Quality - RFT, Hygiene, Incident reporting and change control. Reliability - Throughput, efficiency and OEE. Environment - COD and Hydraulic loading incident reporting and investigating What you will bring to Dairygold Third Level qualification in a relevant discipline (Food Science, Technology, Engineering); Previous relevant experience in a similar role; Proven excellence across the key competencies identified above; Capable of understanding the underlying processes across the full remit of the role; Strong people management skills Strong business acumen, customer focus and commercially aware Proven record in maintaining safe work environments; Passion to apply key continuous improvement principles in a fast-moving production environment; Performance driven with a proven track record of achievement, high integrity and capability to exercise sound judgement in decision-making.
