Our client, a fast-paced and innovative technology company, is seeking a skilled IT Manager to lead their technical support function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone from an MSP background who enjoys a hands-on role across a broad technical stack and is ready to step into a leadership position.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in networking, SQL Server, firewalls (Fortinet), virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware), and VoIP systems. Experience with security systems (CCTV, access control, etc.) is a distinct advantage.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support a small IT team while remaining hands-on with technical delivery
* Provide L1/L2 support across networking, servers, and applications (onsite & remote)
* Administer Fortinet firewalls, VPNs, and network infrastructure
* Manage SQL Server environments and support VoIP/intercom systems
* Oversee virtualized environments (Hyper-V / VMware)
* Monitor system alerts, troubleshoot proactively, and drive continuous improvement
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
* Maintain accurate documentation, timesheets, and job cards
Key Requirements
* 5+ years in IT support, ideally within an MSP environment
* Strong networking and SQL Server experience
* Solid understanding of Fortinet, Hyper-V/VMware, and VoIP systems
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
* Full, clean EU driver’s licence
* Positive, can-do attitude with a customer-first approach
Desirable (Not Essential)
* Experience with security systems (CCTV, access control, etc.)
* Exposure to Microsoft 365 or Linux-based environments
