Company Accountant My client are looking for a Company Accountant to join their team.
This is an exciting opportunity for either a part-qualified or qualified accounting technician to contribute to the smooth operation of company finance function working closely with external accountants, owner manager & junior accounts person for an office based role in Dublin 6W / 12 area Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including income and expenditure statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
Transaction Processing: Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and receivable, including coding, reconciliation, and payment processing.
Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily bank reconciliations and ensure all discrepancies are resolved promptly.
Property Management Accounting: Assist in the preparation of property-related financial reports, including rent roll and service charge reconciliation.
VAT Returns: Support in the preparation of VAT returns and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations.
Year-End Support: Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements and liaise with auditors as required.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist with budget preparation and periodic forecasts, ensuring accuracy in financial projections.
Ad-hoc Financial Analysis: Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Client Liaison: Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding financial queries and property-related transactions.
Qualifications & Skills: Part-qualified or fully qualified Accounting Technician (AAT or equivalent) Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Previous experience in a similar role within property management or a related industry is highly desirable.
Experience with accounting software packages (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in all tasks.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
Ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external clients.
Strong MS Excel skills, including the ability to work with complex formulas and data analysis.
