We’re looking for an IT Procurement Category Manager to lead our IT procurement strategy, managing a £17 million spend across mobile, hardware, software, and cloud categories.
The Role
In this role, you’ll drive IT procurement by developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with company goals. Your focus will be on achieving cost efficiencies, delivering value, and supporting Breedon’s environmental goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Category Strategy Development: Lead procurement strategies across IT categories, including mobile telephony, Microsoft licensing, network infrastructure, and cloud services, ensuring value-driven sourcing for a £17 million spend.
* Procurement & Contract Management: Oversee procurement lifecycles, negotiate high-impact contracts, and manage supplier onboarding to meet business requirements and compliance standards.
* Spend & Supplier Management: Conduct spend analysis and manage key supplier relationships, focusing on cost reductions, performance improvements, and adherence to contractual SLAs.
* Risk & Budget Management: Partner with teams on annual budgeting, develop market forecasts, and implement risk mitigation strategies to safeguard IT services.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead initiatives with stakeholders to align procurement solutions with company needs and ensure timely, on-budget delivery.
* Sustainability & Ethical Sourcing: Embed sustainable and ethical sourcing practices across IT procurement to support Breedon’s environmental goals.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, IT, or a related field; CIPS certification preferred.
* 5-7 years’ experience in IT procurement, managing budgets over £10 million, and expertise in Microsoft licensing, hardware, software, and IT infrastructure.
* Strong analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills, with experience managing supplier performance.
