Construction Director - Role overview:
* The appointee will work on major new developments and re-development projects for an exciting pipeline of projects ranging from €30m+ up to €200m.
* The ideal candidate will have 15 to 20 years+ experience, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Proven experience in running €30-40m+ projects is a prerequisite.
* Prior commercial experience is preferable although candidates who have Resi experience will also be considered.
Role Responsibilities:
* Working with a highly experienced team to manage projects from early concept stage through design development, planning permission, procurement, construction, completion and handover.
* Design presentations at each project review stage to internal and external stakeholders on status, budget and risk.
* Strong commercial knowledge and ability to interrogate design to ensure best value, as well as change management throughout a project.
* Attention to detail and understanding construction design and detailing as part of driving high quality and best in class developments.
* Setting clear targets and monitoring detailed deliverables through each stage of Development.
* Working with all parties to ensure delivery of company objectives: the safe completion of high-quality sustainable projects on time and at all times respecting the environment and the local community.
* Attendance and, at times, chairing design co-ordination and construction progress meetings.
* Research and innovation on construction methodologies, sustainability, product development and market trends.
Personal Profile:
* A track record of Project Delivery working for a Tier 1 Main Contractor in Ireland or UK.
* Third level honours degree in Project Management, Architecture or Engineering with c15-20 years+’ experience in a project management or construction management role.
* Proactive and innovative with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills with proven experience working in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience of technical report writing and presentations.
* Basic contract knowledge for construction contracts and design team appointments.
Remuneration:
An attractive base salary, bonus scheme and package commensurate with the candidate’s experience will be offered.
