ADMINISTRATOR/ PARLIAMENTARY ASSISTANT TO MEMBER OF DIL IREANN Job Specification AbouttheRole: As a Parliamentary Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the TD in their role.
This dynamic position involves a mix of research, media relations and political coordination, requiring excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of the legislative process.
Working closely with the TD, you will contribute to both parliamentary and constituency functions, helping to address key issues within the community and on a national scale.
The Parliamentary Assistant works closely with the Dail Deputy, County Councillors, and the Secretarial Assistant to provide an excellent service to constituents.
Thecontract: Specified Purpose Contract of Employment 34th Dil TheRole: This is a front facing role, dealing directly with constituents.
You will work closely with the Deputy on a wide range of issues, supporting their work in the constituency.
This role is for a highly motivated individual; a problem-solver with great attention to detail; someone who can manage a busy diary and can manage their own time well, KeyResponsibilities Conduct research on Dil business, policy matters and current issues to support the TDs legislative activities.
Draft speeches, position papers, questions and briefing documents.
Handle media queries, develop public relations material and manage social media.
Organise and co-ordinate parliamentary tasks including managing Parliamentary Questions, amendments, highlighting topical issues, scheduling speaking time and tracking legislation.
Represent the TD at meetings and events, organise meetings or events as required and support the TDs engagement within the community.
Managing constituent casework and ensuring effective follow-up.

managing complex/non- routine queries from constituents and progressing queries through the appropriate channels.
Building and nurturing relationships with officials, civil servants, and journalists.
Such other related and appropriate duties as may be assigned by the member.

Experience of social media content production and is familiar with graphic design tools and video editing software.

The successful candidate will be an all-round performer with a knowledge of local and national politics, ability to deal with local and national media, and have excellent people skills.
Salary €47,000+ depending on experience
