Vacancy – Permanent Part Time Member Services Officer
Kilcock Credit Union (formerly Kilcloon Credit Union) is a community-focused modern financial services provider and has experienced excellent growth in recent years. Our members are our stakeholders and everything we do is centred around providing them with excellent service, competitive financial products, and developing long lasting relationships. Our team of Member Services Officers are key to achieving this and we are currently seeking to add one Member Services Officer to that team.
Reporting to the Assistant Operations Manager, as a Member Service Officer you will be responsible for Teller and associated administrative and operational duties required to ensure the effective and efficient day to day running of the credit union and the servicing of Member needs. Your primary duties will include:
* Processing share withdrawals and lodgements, loan repayments and disbursements, including processing card payments;
* Handling loan applications/enquiries, and in particular collating application data and documentation;
* Opening new member accounts, including collating and filing all relevant documentation;
* Inputting of relevant member, share and loan data into the member accounting system;
* Upkeeping relevant member data in soft and hard copy formats as required to ensure compliance with anti-money laundering and data protection requirements;
* Assisting with ongoing internal project work as required;
The successful candidate should be diligent, present in a polite and professional manner and be a good ‘team player’. They must possess excellent organisational skills and have the ability to communicate effectively when handling member enquiries. Prior experience in a frontline role in a financial institution may be advantageous but is not essential. Experience of working with Microsoft Office products, such as Word and Excel, would be useful. You will receive appropriate training to assist you in your role.
The role will be subject to the satisfactory completion of a 6-month probationary period. Pay will be commensurate with the nature of the role and your experience. A contributory pension will be made available. Your working week will include the days of Tuesday to Saturday (maximum 28 hours per week). You will work as part of a team on a rostered basis. The successful candidate will be required to satisfy the minimum competency requirements as set out in the Central Bank Guidelines for the role.
