A key position for a Lead Project Manager is currently available at our client in Galway, Ireland. This hybrid role will be on a 12-month contractor basis.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will oversee project financials for a $30 million global program, ensuring the overall program stays within budget and meets its deadline with available resources.
This involves identifying areas of improvement for project operations by closely monitoring program progress.
Key Responsibilities:
* Regular review of program deadlines and budget with program/project managers.
* Input and address questions from the finance department.
* Coordinate statements of work, work orders, purchase orders, invoicing, and payments with system integrators and vendors.
* Update corporate financial tools for forecasting (Daisy / Captrack / Digtracker).
* Create project progress reports and make recommendations for ways to improve project progress.
* Analyze performance data to establish performance metrics around project financials.
* Anticipate potential problems and develop risk mitigations.
* Represent the team as a key contact, liaising with other internal departments, manufacturing sites, project managers, and stakeholders.
* Compare ongoing project activities with the project management plan and project performance baseline.
* Evaluate adherence to corporate and IT policies and standards.
* Effectively manage project constraints: Scope, Cost, Schedule.
Requirements
* Bachelor's or University Degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
* Practical knowledge and demonstrated competence in large-scale IT project/program management typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
* Strong financial acumen, analytical skills, and Microsoft Excel experience are essential for this role.
