My client, based in Central Dublin, is a multi-national company, driving change in the deployment of renewable energy and the move to Net-zero. Its products and solutions are primarily focused on renewable energy integration and smart grid applications. It has a strong reputation for delivering reliable products and solutions. They are looking to add to their team a Financial Controller who will overseethe overall financial management of both the Irish and UK businesses and the consolidation of both for monthly reporting to the parent company in Spain. It includes day to day financial management and analysis, budget preparation, forecasting, annual audits, internal controls and regulatory compliance. The day-to-day financial management includes cash flow, WIP, salaries, debtors, creditors, financial analysis and revenue recognition of turnkey projects, FX adjustments and banking relationships in both UK and Ireland. They are looking for a high achiever who will contribute to the overall growth of the company and add value across multiple areas. Reporting to Managing Director in Ireland and Group CFO in Spain, regular travel over to their UK offices, based in Newcastle, will be required as part of the job. Responsibilities Prepare and publish timely monthly consolidated accounts of UK and Ireland for reporting purposes - Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting Responsible for month-end and year-end close process. Lead migration to new SAP ERP for both UK and Ireland operations Ongoing management of SAP ERP system Manage all accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, WIP and Revenue Recognition for UK and Irish businesses. Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. Manage and comply with legal reporting requirements and tax filings. Manage business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. Additional controller duties as necessary. HR in both companies Requirements Fully qualified accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA) Previous experience in a similar position, including experience of providing Financial Control across a group of companies. Up to date knowledge of UK and Irish GAAP and IFRS. Advanced Excel modelling skills - Experience of operating in multi-currency environments. Team player with good communication skills.
