Software and Test Engineer with experience supporting software QA for internal applications and solutions distributed worldwide across numerous production sites. This position is for a hands-on engineer that will be a member of a global and distributed development team that focuses on industrial solutions targeting issuance and provisioning.
The candidate will report to a local Solution QA Manager and be part of a team dedicated to QA.
As our Senior Software Test Engineer, you'll support HID's success by: Contributing to the whole software test lifecycle – review requirements, design, develop and maintain test scripts (automated and manual), document test results, report defects. Helping to improve and maintain the test framework. Working in accordance with the Solution QA Manager, triage and prioritize all issues and follow through on their remediation. Interfacing with HID's application support resources for issue handling and resolution. Working closely with the project teams on identifying, reproducing and resolving software problems. Assessing Solutions quality and ensuring that all major bugs are remediated before the tools are released to their consumers. Contributing to standards and processes to continuously improve team practices. What we will love about your background: Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing. Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with and communicate effectively with a variety of HID internal teams (Manufacturing, IT, engineering, Business Unit members) and external customers. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Precise, systematic and organized work style. Attention to detail, reliability, dependability. Your Experience and Education include: At least 2+ years of experience in software testing. Experience in testing portals, web-based and client applications. Knowledge about mobile applications testing will be a plus. Experience with requirements documentation, bug tracking systems, version control systems, and CI/CD. Experience in Python or any other object-oriented programming language. Fast learning, innovative, and persistent person with a wide interest in software testing and QA. Basic knowledge about Agile/Scrum. Basic skills in databases and cloud technologies a plus. Why apply?
