Getting to the Osprey: Free onsite parking for staff. Using public transport, the bus will leave you just a short walk away from the hotel. Using the train, you can hop on the feeder bus into Naas from the Sallins train station, and this will leave you with just a short walk to the hotel.
The Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic person who flourishes in fast-paced environments to join our thriving accommodation team as a linen porter. The ideal candidate will be fully flexible in the role and be available for both weekday and weekend work. Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel environment is desirable but not essential.
Duties will include:
1. Delivery of clean linen and collection of dirty linen from hotel floors and restocking throughout the day where required.
2. Transporting extra beds or cots to rooms as required and assembling or making where necessary.
3. Completing jobs of the day as requested.
4. Ensuring private rooms on each floor are kept clean and tidy at all times and stock levels are kept at an acceptable level.
5. Checking that all corridors are clear of obstruction.
6. Ensuring any guest property left behind is passed to the Accommodation Manager.
7. Removing all rubbish from guest corridors and properly disposing of it.
8. Monitoring stock levels and linen levels, informing the Accommodation Manager of any discrepancies.
9. Receiving all incoming laundry deliveries and ensuring all dirty linen is packed correctly for collection.
10. Ensuring all corridors and fire exits are kept clear and clean at all times.
11. Greeting all guests in a warm and friendly manner.
The ideal candidate for this position:
* Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel environment is desirable but not essential.
* Flexibility in working hours, available both weekdays and weekends.
* Enthusiasm, passion, and interest in their work and what they do.
* Compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to multitask.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Excellent organizational skills.
