About the role
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager with >10 years' experience in financial services/technology solution implementation to manage a key technology project for our Investment Management business. In the role, the successful candidate will:
1. Establish strong project governance and accelerate progress in delivering on strategic objectives, aligning to the Tech and Data strategy.
2. Plan and track multiple deliverables, including defining required resource and budget for delivery, and communication of progress through regular reporting to SteerCo and Governance Forum.
3. Identify and manage risks and issues to prevent or reduce impact on delivery within projects or through cross project/programme risks.
4. Engage with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
5. Motivate, coach, and develop high performing teams.
6. Deliver project to time/cost/scope/highest quality in line with project management methodology.
7. Steer cross-functional teams, champion collaborative ways of working to meet deadlines.
8. Manage the vision, think strategically, plan and organise, execute with velocity.
Requirements
We are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills:
1. Technology solution design and implementation ensuring effective requirements gathering.
2. Management of third-party vendors, from selection and onboarding to ongoing collaboration and issue resolution.
3. Process improvement to provide efficiencies.
4. Adept at stakeholder management across all levels of the organisation.
5. Excellent communication and influencing skills.
6. Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage multiple workstreams.
7. Strong track record of technology delivery.
8. Experience working with Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
9. Effective Change management skills and ability to drive adoption.
10. Domain knowledge of Funds/Investment Management, implementation of Performance Management and reporting systems beneficial.
Preferred Qualifications
1. A Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in finance, business or related discipline, project management.
2. One or more professional certifications or equivalent experience (preferably PMP, Agile, etc.).
