Job Description
Our client, a Cork based leading designer and manufacturer of high reliability electronic motor control solutions, is recruiting for a PCB Production Operator. This is initially a 12-month contract. The role reports to the PCB Production Supervisor and will support normal production activities as required.
THE ROLE
1. Operate assembly equipment required to complete specified tasks.
2. Prepare components for manual assembly.
3. Operate PCB cleaning and baking equipment.
4. Use torque tools for assembly of specific fasteners.
5. Perform manual assembly of PCBs and some mechanical hardware to formal assembly procedures, process procedures, assembly drawings, and SOPs.
6. Typical components handled will be printed circuit cards and electronic components.
7. Application of adhesives and conformal coatings.
8. Prototype assembly work under engineering control.
9. Set up equipment and carry out process-related measurements as required.
10. Perform operator machine maintenance as specified.
11. Inspect and rework PCBs and components as per established criteria.
12. Completion of all necessary production-related documentation.
13. Use our ERP system to transact work orders.
14. Adherence to all necessary requirements relating to personal tool maintenance, anti-static precaution, safety, and housekeeping.
Specific equipment training will be provided.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Knowledge of IPC7711/IPC7721 and IPC J-Standard and their application.
2. Proven track record of commitment to both quality and production goals.
3. Positive, flexible approach with good interpersonal skills.
4. A minimum of 2 to 3 years relevant experience/knowledge of assembly functions would be preferable.
5. Detail oriented.
6. Problem-solving capabilities.
7. Good time management.
8. Personable, able to comfortably and pleasantly deal with a variety of people.
