Job Summary
The Senior TechOps Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring high levels of system availability, performance, and security. This includes installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software components, monitoring systems' health, and implementing security policies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and support on-premises and cloud-based systems.
* Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software, including servers, storage, and networking components.
* Ensure the stability, security, and performance of IT infrastructure across multiple platforms.
* Monitor systems' health, performance, and capacity.
* Identify and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
* Implement and maintain security policies and procedures to protect systems and data, as laid out by our SecOps team.
* Remediate vulnerabilities, ensuring systems are compliant with best practices and relevant regulations.
* Manage backup strategies and disaster recovery plans.
* Develop scripts and automation processes for system administration tasks using PowerShell.
* Provide support for escalated issues from Internal Team Members and outsourced L1/L2 provider.
Requirements:
* 5+ years experience as a Senior Systems Administrator or similar role.
* In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and virtualisation technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
* Experience with networking and diagnosing issues relating to (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, etc.).
* Hands-on experience scripting using PowerShell.
* Familiarity with monitoring tools (SCOM, Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, Azure Monitor).
* Microsoft Server and/or Azure Certification would be an advantage.
