O'Brien Fine Foods is an Irish family business based in Timahoe, County Kildare. First established in 2000, the company has grown to become the leading producer of cooked meats on the island of Ireland, with a presence in the UK.
We employ over 700 people and specialize in the manufacture and marketing of premium meats, supplying both branded and private label ranges to retailers across Ireland and the UK from our three manufacturing sites in Timahoe, Rathowen, and Leytonstone.
Our portfolio includes Brady Family, a household name and Ireland's No. 1 cooked meats brand, Green Farm, Ireland's No. 1 white meat brand, and Bearfields of London, a traditional ham and gammon business in the UK.

Tech Team
The Technical team is at the heart of our business, ensuring high-quality and safe products for our customers while complying with legislative and regulatory requirements for food processing.
Their goal is to maintain our Quality Assurance Culture with all staff, continually reviewing and improving it, empowering staff to take ownership of quality.
Shift Quality Supervisor Role
This role involves working closely with the Site Quality Manager to maintain and refine our QA system. The Shift Quality Supervisor will be responsible for:
* Assisting in training and developing the Quality Officer Team
* Participating in all quality audits
* Leading audits in the absence of the Site Quality Manager
* Driving quality in terms of food safety and product quality, resulting in improved audit results and reduced customer complaints
* Coaching and training staff on the production floor through documented SOPs
* Conducting traceability/recall audits, reporting issues to production, and working with production to drive improvements
* Dealing with customer complaints, including investigation and closure with production and quality teams
* Managing the micro sampling plan, trending results, and highlighting any issues to the production cleaning team
* Managing the calibration schedule for the site
* Managing pest control programs for the site
* Working with operations teams to build quality into production processes
* Covering QA team holidays if necessary
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
* A degree in a food science course or equivalent
* Knowledge of HACCP systems
* Knowledge of BRC, Bord Bia, and TFS
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
* Fluent English language skills
